I am stunned beyond words that this is happening.
Joan USED to be on the up and up as far as I knew.
What about the clubs she belongs to–she purports herself as a “code of ethics” breeder–she needs
to be reported to all the clubs she belongs to.
These dogs need HELP now. What is being done to get them help?
Please let everyone know what they can do personally to help–donations, foster homes?
Besides the fact that she is ripping people off, the conditions here are a CRIME.

Has animal control been called? These dogs need help before it is too late. The TValley website says pups are due this month! No puppy should be in those conditions! There must be some way to get the humane society and a Rottie rescue in there to help the dogs in the short term. I despair
for them.

Yes, she is into horses now. I have pictures, but I don’t know enough about horses to see if they are being mistreated.
I think that she knew the end of her dog breeding days were near, so she wanted a different animal with different governing authority so that when she was closed out of dogs, she could continue to earn money by being a ‘horsy’ mill.

I have seen those pics of one of the horses, before and after. And NO–any horse or any animal for that matter that is well taken care of does NOT look like that. We are not only Rottie lovers, we have also been involved with horses for many years and rest assured, NONE of our horses or ANY of our animals look like these. And yes, this is a disgrace to all animals out there. As for a possible “horsy” mill, don’t bet on it. There are just as many horse lovers and laws to protect them as well. Here is some advice. They can raise rocks as we know they can’t hurt or mistreat them. Keep pushing Rottie lovers, there is a light at the end of this tunnel.

I have submitted the pictures of the horses to the Ag Dept of the State of Tenn. in Nashville. The state vet went out with the Sheriff of Fentress County. Here is a letter I received from Stephanie Paulter after a phone call of the same from Joan Foote.
Letter reads as follows: (bad grammer is hers)
We have no interest in hearing from you of anykind, other than when you would like to return “our” dog and crate. At this point I want to pursue legal action against you for criminal trespassing, harassment, slander, and deformation (lol, think her character was deformed before I ever knew her) of character, and I will also be looking into filing a restraining order with the police that stated that you can not be within 100 yards of us and/or our property.
If you would like to return Lexie to us you can have Dolly back and I will not press any criminal or civil charges on you oof any kind.
Other thlan that, I’ll see you in court,
Stephanie
Needless to say, I was threatened with the Sheriff’s Dept, the Humane Society, and the State Vet. I told her to send it on, I was waiting. I may be guilty of having fat animals, but they would find nothing under fed, and there is plenty of hay, horse feed and dog food and shelter. My dogs are in a kennel and my horses have a barn.
Along with no pasture or feed, her horses have no shelter from the weather. Mares have foals out in the open, no protection from the other horses nor the elements. If I knew what I know now, I would never have traded my mare, but now I can’t let the dog go back into that cess pool. She was full of worms, could see them crawling from her anus, her back was a solid flea bed, and she was thin. I took her to the vet in Jamestown before I brought her back home. I took the dog crate to the barn and it was full of roach bugs. Glad I hauled it home in my horse trailer rather than a vehicle!! Now, that dog loves me more than my mommy loved her snuff, and that says a lot! She takes every step I take if she can.
