My email message to Fentress County Chamber of Commerce regarding Thunder Valley Rottweilers

December 16th, 2007 · 6 Comments

Dear Mr. Upchurch;

I am writing as a concerned citizen who doesn’t live in your fair county. I live in Atlanta, Georgia, but I have been introduced to your county on two occasions. The first time was when I did business with Joan Foote of Thunder Valley Rottweilers and planned a trip to your locale to pick up my puppy. Since the litter all died and I received a puppy from somewhere else, one would have thought that would be the last I would have heard of Jamestown, TN.

Not so. I have recently come across a website which exposes the horrible conditions that I only guessed at during my personal dealings with Joan Foote and Thunder Valley. For you to understand the gravity of the situation, you should visit this website page: http://www.thundervalleyrottweilers.com/see-with-your-own-eyes-what-is-going-on-at-thunder-valley-rottweilers/ and see for yourself the horrendous conditions of Joan Foote’s kennels.

Mr. Upchurch, I write you because these conditions and this kennel represent YOUR town. Your police force (from what I can ascertain) has allowed for this travesty to continue despite continued complaints. Enough is enough. A great multitude of concerned Rottweiler lovers are about to blow the lid off this whole sordid mess. I hope that there are not people in town government and authority that are complicit with the criminal behavior and outright animal cruelty that is being perpetrated by Joan Foote and Stephanie Paulter and ignored by local officials to this point.

Mr. Upchurch, there is a thunder being heard, it is from a gathering storm, it isn’t Thunder Valley Rottweilers, it is the thunder of outraged dog lovers. They are thundering loudly, they will be heard, they will make a difference, they will see that justice is done in your town, regardless the cost. I suggest that you gather your friends and colleagues, your confidants, and find a meaningful way to help — quickly. As the tide of public opinion can be very cruel for the innocent — whose only fault is inaction.

If you need my help, you can reach me at my office number below, or in an emergency at my home (770) 555-1212.

Yours truly,
‘Doobies Dad’

    WOW! I simply got goose bumps reading this letter sent out to Mr Upchurch from “Doobies Dad”. My hat off to you and how very well you can write a letter. Talk about a “Thunder” being heard, you nailed it right there! We have also sent this site on to every dog lover/breeder/handler/etc. that we possibly can from the North to the South, from the East to the West. I believe it has been sent overseas as well. You bet we are coming in numbers and it is just getting bigger. And as far as the storm, there will be a rainbow at the end, one of peace, love, and contentment for these loving animals.

    Nice letter,indeed!
    I tried sending an email to Marjorie at the SPCA in TN via the clickable link on the left of this site, but it bounced back with “permanent delivery failure”. Any idea what the real addy is?

    Keep up the good work people.

    I got the address off the SPCA TN website - http://www.spcatn.org/index1.html

    So if it bounced back, I don’t know how to correct it.
