I wrote an email to the president of the USRC president Andreas Mueller in June.

Thanks so much for getting back to me so soon. I had sent an email a week or so ago to the same email and have not gotten a response from anyone. So I decided to email again. I have had a problem with my dog that is now 10 months old. She was born last August. We brought her home from the breeder and she had diarrhea. We thought okay shes a puppy so maybe that’s normal. When we got back to Florida from Tennessee we took her directly to the veterinarian. They took samples of her stools and told us that she had coccidia. So he treated her for it and that was that. Of course urinating in teh house a couple of times is natural for a puppy. But, urinating and pus following is not. We have brought our dog to several veterinarians since then and none of them could figure out why this is happening. I have contacted the breederin the beginning and she never responded to my husband or his father. A couple of months went by and about 4000 dollars later the breeder finally calls back. We have told her the problem. At the time the last veterinarian we have seen told us puppy pyometra. After further testing the veterinarian discovered staph and e.coli in her uterus. So of course we had to spay her. When we told the breeder that we had to spay the dog she wanted us to wait a month or so and see her veterinarian in Lake Wales, Florida. If we waited any longer the dog could have died. Even though we have seen about 5 or 6 veterinarians already including a specialist. This problem has been extremely bad and heartbreaking because the dog was so sick and all of the meds that were given to her were rejected because this infection was so bad. There is no reason a dog should be sold sick. Unfortunately due to all the problems this poor dog has had she may not grow to be her actual size. She barely eats anymore and drinks water like she will never see water again. The breeder said she will give me another dog for half price. But, I do not want another sick dog. And as sure as I am I do not trust her. We have spent 6000 dollars just on veterinarian bills alone to get this dog help. I have all of her veterinarian papers from when she was brought back to Florida. If the dog was seen by a veterinarian before she was given to us maybe the sickness would have been caught then.

This is the email I got back:
Alona,
I remember now, sorry I didn’t respond, but action was taken.
The breeder in question is NOT a member of our organization!!
So there is nothing we can do.
As you advised, she advertises on her website that she is a member of USRC.
A letter was sent to her, asking to correct this misrepresentation within a certain time frame.
This is all we can do at this time.
