From the Thunder Valley website: Joan Foote and Stephanie Paulter of Thunder Valley Rottweilers have “retired”. I don’t care how they want to spin it, we put them out of business by telling everyone the truth about them and their EVIL ways. They were a disgrace to the professional breeding community for years, abusing both dogs and customers terribly. I only wish it had not taken so long…. not impressed with the law enforcement in Fentress County TN, or the powers that be in the AKC. But, praise God, JUSTICE has prevailed!

Joan Foote Scams Another Nice Person
January 12th, 2011 · 1 Comment
I was sent this via email:
Hi, My name is Mikki, and I live in South Dakota. I have a 7 1/2 year old Rottie, a CGC TDI, who is the love of my life. When we learned she had cancer, I decided to look for a puppy to follow in her pawprints. Thank God, with treatment, Raina is doing well and the idea was to have the puppy while Raina could have an influance on her.
So, I went to a website that was home to Raina’s sire. Thunder Valley Rottweilers. I talked with Joan Foote, and was told 2 litters were coming soon, and if I wanted a female, I should place my $500.00 deposit . The 1st litter was due in late Sept, and this was the one I was interested in, as my dog’s sire was in the pedigree.I sent my deposit.
The litter was not born. Joan said it was a false pregnancy, and that Chelsea was just plain fat ! So, since I had made the deposit, I agreed to take a puppy from the next dog due to welp, Liberty. They were due in Oct.When I was able to reach Joan, I learned the pups (10 of them ) had been born on Oct 5th. She emailed me a picture of them. As they grew older, I emailed often, asking about their progress, and recieved no answers. Finally, Joan called me to say she had been stuck out of town, and just got home. The pups were 5 weeks old at this time. She asked if I would send the rest of what I owed for the puppy ($1000.00 +$375 for shipping.) She asked that I send it as a Money Gram. I didn’t undersatand that, but went ahead and did as she asked. The agreement was that the puppy would ship when it turned 8 weeks old on Nov 30th. I wanted the puppy young for socailizing with my dog, and to get her started with the AKC Star program for puppies.
Well it is now December 15th. Thunder Valley Rottweilers website is down, and Joan does not answer her house or cell phone. I now have seen the customers club website, and understand that I have been scamed. I just want others to avoid the heartache that I have experienced at the hand of this woman. She is NOT a code of ethetics breeder, and I hope anyone who considers getting a dog from this “kennel” will think again. I am out $1875.00, and cannot afford to look for another puppy.

UPDATE TO THE LAST POST !!!! Email copy and pasted as it was sent to me !!
January 3rd, 2011 · 1 Comment
Up Date from Mikki, in South Dakota: It is Janurary 3rd, and I am writing this with my puppy, Skye, sitting in my lap. I recieved her from Joan on Saturday,Dec 18th, at the age of 10weeks and 5 days. She arrived heavily infested with fleas, and encrusted with flea dirt. Her spine, shoulder bones and hips bones were ( and still are ) , prominant. When we put her down on the ground, her left leg swung outward, and her hip bone stuck up alarmingly. She was able to walk, and at times she put weight on the leg.It did not seem to be painful to her.Her 1st night at home, she had diarrhea, with tape and round worms in the stool, as well as wood shavings, but to her credit, she ate ravenously, and got over her hand shyness within 2 days. We took her to our vet on Monday morning.Since we recieved no health history, we started her on a vacination schedule, She weighed 8 pounds and was dewormed for her internal parasite infestation. The doctor also administered Frontline Plus for the fleas ( falling off onto his exam table ). The x-rays of her hips revealed her left femor is not attatched to the the socket. This being such a rare ijnury in a puppy, the x-rays were sent to the orthapedic veterinarions at the University of Mn for consultation. it is the concensus of the vets that the injury occurred at least two weeks before she was shipped, and that the puppy has gotten used to the handicap, and just walks (and runs) “funny”.My main concern being her having pain from it, was alievated. She does occassionaly step wrong, and yelps, but not often. We were advised to take a wait and see attitude, since she is so young, and her growth plates are open. At some point, she will need surgical intervention. She returned to the vet the following Monday, as her projectile diarrhea was worse than ever. She was then placed on antibiotics and probiotices. She had her first solid stool on New Years day ! Yeah!!! how excited we were . She continues to eat well, and seems to be growing. She is about the size my Raina was at 8 weeks old, when I got her. Skye is over 3 months old now. So she is really small. She is smart, and puppy cute, even though she is not the Rottwieler I had been promised. I had no contract, nothing in writing stating I would recieve a healthy puppy for my $1875.00. I was so trusting, believing that a “breeder” would be fair and compassionate, care about her reputation, her kennel, and most of all, her dogs. Shame on you, Joan.( I still have recieved no AKC registration, even though I sent a stamped, self addressed envelope on Dec 20th.) Thus is the saga of Skye. We will give her the best life we can, as I feel that we were delt this hand for a reason Be forewarned, fellow Rottie enthusiasts ……. Thourghly research your breeder.

UPDATE 3-15-2010 JOAN IS STILL AT IT !!
March 15th, 2010 · 1 Comment
Long time since I have posted here, not that anything has changed for us, Joan Foote still has not made good on the monies we sent her for our import puppy. It also looks like she is still up to her old habits; on 3/3/2010 I received a phone call from a guy down in Florida. This guy had agreed to purchase a puppy from Joan Foote, owner of Thunder Valley Rottweiler’s in Jamestown TN. According to him, about ship time Joan Foote was no longer available via phone or email. he began to panic and started to look on the internet ( something he should have done first) to see if there were indeed issues with Joan Foote and Thunder Valley Rottweiler’s, well to make the story short he found Thunder Valley Rottweiler’s Customer Club, he began to read all the posts and really got concerned. In a post he found my phone number and he called me, he and I had been on the phone for around 10 minutes, he asked me what were his options based on my personal experiences, my response was ” do you want the bad news first or the real bad news first”. I explained briefly what the victims had/have gone threw in their dealings with Joan Foote of Thunder Valley Rottweiler’s and that basically he needed to contact authorities and keep at it with Joan Foote of Thunder Valley Rottweiler’s. People low and behold Joan Foote of Thunder Valley Rottweiler’s called him back while he and I were on the phone. He asked me if he could take the call and call me back after he spoke to her, of course I agreed and wished him luck. After an hour passed and no return call, I called him back, no answer just a voice mail so I left a message, as of the time I am posting this he has not returned my call. Now some may ask WHY? But all the victims already understand and know the answer to WHY? Joan Foote of Thunder Valley Rottweiler’s is a super salesperson , a damn thieving one, but still she could sell ice cubes to an Eskimo and convince the Eskimo that it was rare and unique water that the ice was made from, all the while it was plain old tap or even sewage water. I would bet this guy said something to Joan Foote of Thunder Valley Rottweiler’s about what he had found on the internet or perhaps that he had even spoken to me via phone. I hope it all works out for this person and he has his issue with Joan Foote of Thunder Valley Rottweiler’s cured. Bottom line, Joan Foote we are still here, waiting for you to do the right thing and hey!!! Since you’re selling puppies how about sending us back the $ 1500.00 that we advanced you for the import puppy we never received!!!! Never hurts to ask, LOL

6.13.2009 UPDATE : Folks the Sherriff is getting ready to auction off 2134 Country Club Road, Jamestown, TN 38556.
June 13th, 2009 · 1 Comment
Well, it looks like the end may be near for Joan and Stephanie’s time living at 2134 Country Club Road, Jamestown, TN 38556. The current Jamestown Paper shows that the Sheriff’s auction is set for June 17th 2009 on the court house steps. Now what that means for the animals your guess is a good as mine. I have made some great contacts down there, most of this due to the fact we put in and had accepted a contract to purchase some property in Jamestown. I must say I was looking forward running into them at Walmart. LOL . No kidding about the property purchase. I would think about bidding at the auction but my real estate contacts tell me the place looks like a ” tear down” at least from the road. Joan, you need to cut the crap and do the right thing by these animals. If your really losing your place as suspected, make it good by all these animals. The 17th is only a few days away, now we all know it may take a bit longer for them to get you off the property if you do not leave freely, but come on for once ” DO THE RIGHT THING” . We all can see from your web site your trying to sell both puppies and mature dogs. Why not cut the BS and get these into homes NOW !!. No funny business, no co-owning, no straw owners, basically no BS at all. Just get them placed in homes that they can be cared for and live out the lives they deserve. Frankly , I doubt if any member of this site or any victim really cares what happens to you or Stephanie , but I would bet all of these same people really care what happens to these animals. Reach out to them , allow them to help these animals . Understand up front, this is not about helping either of you in any way. You made your beds now its time for you both to sleep in it. So what do you say? for the animals . .

From the Thunder-Valley-Rott.com web site
Thunder Valley’s Oxana
has been bred to
Multi-V1, UCI Int.Ch. Rathko Crni Lotos, CGC
Puppies due late-February 2009
Bred by Joan Foote & Stephanie Paulter of Thunder Valley Rottweilers
Litter to be whelped in Jamestown, Tennessee
We need to make sure to get the word out to as many people as we can so that we can stop any more people and animals becoming victims.
Does anyone know if Joan Foote is still on suspension from the AKC? Did Stephanie Paulter get a life-time suspension for assaulting the AKC inspector?
